My artistic process has paralleled my spiritual journey. I have done intense reading, research, and meditation on “finding” happiness. Throughout this time, I finally came to the realization that happiness was not a goal, but rather a way of living; being at peace with myself and the world around me. My work is an exploration of art combining traditional and digital media paralleling my journey exploring life and ideas of love, peace, mindfulness, meditation, release of attachment, and self reflection. I also explore identity themes as an Egyptian woman who falls into the emo/goth subcultures.
